Zona St. Pierre moved to Southern California in 2022, where she took courses in pottery at the high school and college levels. Zona has continued to pursue her interest in pottery and has been pursuing it with her mother Shelia Rios for 4 years. Zona and Shelia sell their work at seasonal markets.
Shelia took classes on pottery in lake county. Zona never knew Shelia had been doing functional pottery since she was young. Zona didn’t find out her mother had been working in this area until she was about 40 years old. She was surprised Shelia didn’t tell her about her skills in pottery. Zona’s pottery work filled her garage which later became their pottery studio.
